Hey Reader - Many moons ago, I read this book about Miyamoto Musashi. Legendary Japanese swordsman. In it, two swordsmen travel to challenge an old master named Yagyu Sekishusai. This dude was the real deal. The Shogun's weapons instructor. But he doesn't accept challenges anymore. ‘cos he's retired now - and aint got time for the young ‘uns. So instead of fighting, he sends each of them a single cut peony flower. One swordsman, a guy named Yoshioka, is insulted. He wanted a duel. Not a flower. He throws it away. But Musashi picks it up. He notices something. The cut on the stem. So clean. So precise. Only a true master could have made it. In that moment, Musashi understood: he didn't need to fight Sekishusai. The flower told him everything. It told him Sekishusai's skill was beyond his own. It told him that mastery doesn't just show up in battle. It shows up in everything. In how you cut a flower. In the smallest, most ordinary actions. And it told him something else: if you know what to look for, you don't need a duel to know who you're dealing with. The small things reveal the truth. So here's the question: What's the cut flower in creative-driven growth?
